Mungo Park Court Takes a Step for Fairtrade Fortnight

Are the residents of Mungo Park Court the culprits who have been chalking the streets of Selkirk for Fairtrade Fortnight?  There is some compelling evidence that this might be so!

Warm congratulations are due to the residents of Mungo Park Court who have taken a very big step during Fairtrade Fortnight with the decision to use Fairtrade tea, coffee and sugar on a regular basis for their morning cuppas!

Thanks also to our local Sainsbury’s store, suppliers of a variety of Fairtrade products, for donating Fairtrade tea and coffee from their store to help the folk at Mungo Park Court get started.

Residents were able to take their own individual steps towards supporting Fairtrade by buying from a stall of Fairtrade sweeties and snacks set up by Selkirk Fairtrade, and we’ll be taking up their request for a Fairtrade stall twice a year.
